How it all began...
In 2006, fresh out of school, looking for some Varsity good times a bunch of friends put together a side for the UCT internal league. older guys from school sparked the idea. We named ourselves the Purple Cobras. We got the name from the movie Dodgeball.
We at the Cobras are very intent on having a good time. One might say we play the rugby just for the parties afterwards. But we do play some good rugby at times. In our first year we were knocked out in the semis on a kick- out, in our second year we lost in the final and last year we won the Cup baby. Champions.
Basically we enjoy coming out on Wednesday night, playing some quality rugby and then having a jam just to tie it all together.
