Internal league website wrap of round 2...
Round two of the Steinhoff UCT Koshuis league got underway last night with reigning champions the Cobra’s taking on Kopano res on the Green Mile last night. The match was not going to be one for the underdogs though as the Cobra’s dominated from the outset with some very physical rugby.
On defence the Cobra’s dominated at the tackle point in the early stages of the game and on attack they let the ball do the work for them as they brushed off Kopanos challenge early on in the game. Kopano had some decent runs but too often their outside centres were guilty of not getting the final pass away on an overlap and preferring to take contact instead. The fault is not all theirs though as the Cobra’s defence was superb at rushing up quickly and putting pressure on the opposition midfield, sometimes at the extent of the offside line which the referee was perhaps guilty of ignoring a little.

One From One...
The Cobras began their assault on the UCT internal league for 2009 with a solid performance against Kopano on Wednesday evening. The Cobras men were amped and itching to get on the park, and it were these pre match emotions perhaps that fuelled a few initial handling errors and missed opportunities as the game got off to a somewhat shaky start, with some ‘beginning of the season’ jitters. As the game progressed the Cobra’s men did manage to find and maintain their composure however, and fittingly enough, captain Warren Butler opened the try scoring account. The half time curtain was drawn with the Cobras leading 12-0. The second half started off as the first had had ended, and produced more of the Cobra’s attractive brand of running rugby. With the Cobra’s now controlling most of the possession and territory and with an abundance of fresh legs coming onto the paddock, the Cobra’s scored a further 21 unanswered points.

Cobra slithers across Africa.
Purple Cobra, Nicholas Ackerman, has embarked on what some have dubbed the trip of a lifetime. Korn, as his is known by his fellow Cobras, has packed his Land Rover Defender 90 and headed to Cairo.
Now some of you might know that the Landie mentioned afore is not exactly his, due to a little “rock and roll” that took place in Hermanus, but nevertheless the man has found himself a “wingman” for the trip, enter Adam Pickard.
Now both of these two astute gentlemen have graced the rugby field in their day, but Korn took his Bishops and Academia rugby experience and unselfishly spoilt the Cobras with his unmatched brute strength at tight head prop. It’s generally well known that Korn was a popular wing and 2nd five eight during broken play, and hated a pick and drive in the tight.
Korn, more famous for the guy who invented crash ball in touch, is also not one to shy away from a quiet ale, whiskey or a gin and tonic for that matter. And was an integral part of the early change room fines meetings. He is said to be the reason behind Phillip Voget’s infamous birthday celebration in 2006.
Korn is known to be quite the ladies man and it has been said that he has received his fair amount of marriage proposals from women all across the globe. He can be seen rehearsing paragraphs from Niell Strauss’ “The Game” on the Tiger dance floor with a double Bells on the rocks in the one hand and a young lass on the other.
Korn and Adam’s trip takes them across the continent starting in Cairo and ending up in Cape Town. They shipped the car up to Cairo. Along the way the two will be cracking ales in countries like Sudan, Ethiopia and Namibia, no doubt celebrating small successes in true Cobra fashion along the way.
Their trip can be followed on http://c2c2009.blog.com*. When Korn is not sharing tales of his dramatic victories on the green mile with local custom officials he will be giving updates of his adventures of swimming in the Nile and crossing the Dunes of the Sahara.
The estimated time of arrival back in Cape Town is the 16 of July and it will most definitely be a skop of almighty proportions.

Internal League preview on uctrfc.co.za
This weeks UCT Koshuis fixtures are lining up to produce a fantastic night of rugby. With six rugby games to be played this Wednesday fans should be treated to quite a spectacle.
This weeks headline fixture would have to be surprise giant killers Leo Marquad against Nadoes in what should be an epic encounter. Since the leagues inception at UCT the Nadoes have been the team to beat, with their awesome aura of invincibility doing more damage to opposing teams that their rugby.
Marquad, however, are fresh off their surprise win against Panthers, the side that lost narrowly to Nadoes in the semi-final of last years tournament, and will not lie down to the Nadoes brand. Marquad have proved in their first game that they have the players and the determination to beat any team on the night and they should prove a sterner test to the Nadoes mettle than Ikhaya house did last week. Provided they don’t let the prospect of playing the Nadoes daunt them, I see no reason why the ‘Kings of Lower Campus’ couldn’t pull off another surprise victory.
Also in action this week are incumbent champions, the Cobras. It is fair to say that this year, fresh off of the Varsity Cup Koshuis Competition; the Cobra’s are approaching the tournament with a very professional air and a massive squad. The Cobra’s will be playing Kopano in both sides first match of the season.
Kopano, once the top Residence side on campus, have had a torrid time in recent years and the 2009 squad will be looking to turn things around, perhaps by pulling off their own David and Goliath style killing a’la Leo Marquad in the first match. Kopano are as yet an unknown quantity this year though, as we saw with Smuts and Marquad, the Residence sides are not prepared to lie down for the sake of a few teams reputations.
If Kopano can play with determination and focus on their shifting defence, we may see them nullify the Cobra’s potent backs leaving room for them to exploit the Cobras forwards who, last year, were perceived the weakest point in the team. The fixture should make for another exciting game though, if only for the fact that it will allow the teams to get a measure of the Cobra’s yardstick to see how the top teams are panning out this year.

Everywhere you go....
Hey HO(S), Let's GO!
So it's been a while hey? Yes indeed. My absence has been due, in part, to the hecticnessnessness of my final year of study. Just a lot of reading and writing, so when it comes to my free time, my special time, my fuzzy tingle time, I shy away from picking up the proverbial 'pen'. So here we are. On the eve of our title defending season. Things are looking set for an absolute cracker of a year. The boys have been down at practice, tossing the ball around with a style and flair that can only be likened to that of gazelles running in open plains. Gazelles? Not really our vibe down here in Southern Africa. Should have said something like a Kudu or whatever. Gazelle? Very American. Quite cliche'. Not really my style. I apologise. Profusely. I'm sorry dear readers. Enough of my bullshit.

Things have been rather quiet on the website of late. Not much activity. But trust me all that is about to change. I vow to you to produce quality material consistently. Not only consistently, because as we no- one can be consistently bad in their consistency. Who was I talking about this to? A certain someone, at a certain time of the past weekend. The truth is it is important to have consistency in frequency. So to sum up the shit I've just thrown at you: I will produce quality work on a regular basis. Ithankyou.
So now to do what I do best. Copy paste a weather report of the internet and play it off as my own. The plagiarism department at UCT would have afit. A little episode if you will. Where's your referencing? They'd say in a very camp accent. What style referencing have you used? This isn't Harvard style referencing. Explain yourself! Cobras vs. Kopano
The Cobras will open up their assault on the league this Wednesday night when they take on Res side Kopano.
The two teams have only met once in the past with the Cobras edging out Kopano 14-7 in the driving rain on a flooded green mile back in the winter of 2006, the year the Cobras were formed.
Let's hope for better weather this time round in order for the Cobras to express themselves on the Green Mile this Wednesday at 17:30 on UCTRFC Field B.

One of our own gets a call up...
Avid Cobra’s supporter Martin Muller gets his call up!
Martin with former Springbok under 20 team- mate Robert Ebersohn at the IRB under 20 World Cup in Wales last year.
The blonde 21 year old lock has been part of the Vodacom WP team and also featured in both the 2008 and 2009 Varsity Cup for UCT. He represented South Africa at the IRB Junior World Championships in 2007 and 2008.
Muller was a key member of the Ikeys' Varsity Cup pack for the second season in a row, before his Vodacom Cup commitments with Western Province saw him miss the latter stages of the 2009 competition.However, the 1.98m tall lock now has the opportunity to make his Super 14 debut at home against the Chiefs on Saturday evening, having also come through the ranks at Bishops Prep and College, WP Schools, SA Schools and SA Under-20.
Ikeys head coach John Dobson was pleased to hear about Muller's call-up, telling varsitycup.co.za: "I'm really very happy for Martin - he is technically a very good lock with enormous skill and everything that is physically required to go the whole way."(But) this year he has upped his physicality and aggression, which is important in someone who is such a nice guy," added UCT's coach."Of course, it's also great for UCT, not to mention the Varsity Cup, that we continue to produce players capable of playing at Super 14 level or higher.
When asked today, Muller said that he's feeling a touch nervous, but is up for the challenge!
"Joining Muller on the Stormers bench is fellow UCT star Tiger Bax, who was an unused replacement during the Stormers' shock 18-11 win over the Highlanders in Dunedin last week.

UCT's Steinhoff Cobras are ready to open their account in the 2009 Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Championships, that after the Ikeys' representatives went down 28-43 to Majuba last Monday.
The Cobras will play against the Barbarians from NMMU this evening, with the Men from the Cape determined to make it one win from two in 2009.
"We're very disappointed after last week," Cobras team manager Warren Butler told varsitycup.co.za.
"Our match fitness let us down a bit, which is to be expected for a first game, but we're determined to win our first game tonight."
Butler singled out wingers Xhanti Nessi (UCT's club captain) and Sinako 'Snakes' Dunywa as the dangermen in the Cobras outfit, adding: "Sinako is a dangerous runner and Nessi's always a guy to watch.
"We're all looking forward to the game and we want to make up for last week!"
Of course, another factor spurring the Cobras on is that they will play a curtain-raiser to the UCT first team's Varsity Cup match against hosts, NMMU.
As an added incentive, the NMMU-UCT fixture will also double up as the first-ever Monte Taljaard Trophy match in memory of the club's outstanding young flanker Monte Taljaard, who lost his life in a car accident last September.
"Monts was a good friend of ours, so we'll also be going out there to honour him tonight," said Butler.
"It's a great idea to play for the Monte Taljaard Trophy, and when our game is over, we'll hit the stands and support the first team, before hopefully celebrating two wins for UCT afterwards!"

Every where you go...
Yo Yo Yo!
Hell's teeth! Oh my gosh! Good golly! I can't believe it! What the Fuck?! Can you handle it?! It has been such a very long time since our last correspondence. So much has happened between then and now. I believe the last time we were together as one impenetrable unit was when I was giving you the low down on some of our favourite Cobras' holidays. Well I've been back for quite a while and as such have had more than enough time to gather information on activities of our dear friends. Some great stories and some not so great stories.
Anyway before I get into that let me tell how happy I am to be home, in my own bed and finally safe from those Thailand buckets. Wow were those things starting to haunt my dreams. In a good way, you know how like there's that dream you have about that girl who's not really your cup of tea but actually you've got a little vibe going on. You know. So how is everyone? Having a splendid time back at Varsity I'm sure. Cape Town Tens was a great vibe, a big thanks must go out to Poefter for hooking us up with a schweet sponsorship deal for the entrance. I think we can all agree that the event was a success. I know Swali and I took full advantage. I particularly enjoyed waking up at 04:30 due to an annoying car guard with a flashlight. Good times, as they say in the Good Book. We made the semis, should have done better but I for one was not too unhappy with our perfromance off the field that day. Most of the ous showed real tenacity in getting those beers down them. The whole evening culminated in some sort of show down between UCT and Stellies. It got to the point where the police got involved and I was pretty sure that rubber bullets and batons were about to start flying. However old Bob Skinstad, event organiser, really difused the situation with an N'kosi sikelele vibe. He's a jolly good fellow old Skinners is. For he's a jolly good fellow.... And so on and so forth. Not time for idle sing song as they say, in the Good Book.
Then there's our game which we played against the Shebeen Boys/ Villages Fourths/ mainly the Shebeen Boys. It was a great way to get into the season, of course the big Stellies game is next week against Marjuba (Said- Marooba). What kind of a name is that anyway? Shouldn't there be like five o's and some y's or what. Say it in a real dum way Ma Rooba... Can you imagine how I'm saying it? Like really thick sort of. You get it. I'll explain it to you. Sometime. So it was a good game, the ous gelled quite nicely with the new crop of talent getting a good look in. It was just so fantastic to have all the familiar faces back in one place. Except Nessi, no one was happy to see Nessi. Really arrogant that oke. All the Mayor and club captain shit has gone straight to his head. Tsk.
So there we have it. Just trying to get in touch. Wanted to get a feel for the key board again, as it were. Next time you'll get some holiday info and perhaps a quiet interview. Perhaps the Robo cop will talk us through eating 100 clams. Ithankyou.

Then there's our game which we played against the Shebeen Boys/ Villages Fourths/ mainly the Shebeen Boys. It was a great way to get into the season, of course the big Stellies game is next week against Marjuba (Said- Marooba). What kind of a name is that anyway? Shouldn't there be like five o's and some y's or what. Say it in a real dum way Ma Rooba... Can you imagine how I'm saying it? Like really thick sort of. You get it. I'll explain it to you. Sometime. So it was a good game, the ous gelled quite nicely with the new crop of talent getting a good look in. It was just so fantastic to have all the familiar faces back in one place. Except Nessi, no one was happy to see Nessi. Really arrogant that oke. All the Mayor and club captain shit has gone straight to his head. Tsk.
So there we have it. Just trying to get in touch. Wanted to get a feel for the key board again, as it were. Next time you'll get some holiday info and perhaps a quiet interview. Perhaps the Robo cop will talk us through eating 100 clams. Ithankyou.

Cape Town Tens...
Well it has already been a rather frantic start to the season, with our first challenge of the year taking place this weekend. It's going to be a very festive weekend at Hamiltons Rugby Club in Green Point, with lots of rugby being played and many a beer being drunk, straight down the Cobras alley which signals that already things are starting to look good for us. 
As we only entered the competition a couple of weeks ago, we really haven't had time to learn about the format of 10 man rugby. This is going to be a great opportunity to unleash and welcome some of the new signings of the season to the Cobras family.

Those are our three fixtures for Saturday, and will be a further 2 on Sunday. So please remember it's two days of rugby, fixtures start at 8:00 on Sunday morning.
FRIDAY:
On Friday night there is the opening party which we all should try and attend, will be a vibe:
Fri night - 6.30pm - 10pm - Opening party at Hamilton's Rugby Club - for all players, management, sponsors. This promises to be a top night, and we ask all teams to come dressed up as you wish, and be prepared for a good laugh, some great banter and a few other 'pleasant surprises!! All in all a night of fun is assured. In addition, team goody bags, players passes, parking passes etc will be handed out at this event, so you need to be there!
SATURDAY:
Sat - First games kick off at 8.30am, and please remind friends, supporters and family that Sat is 'Super Hero Dress Up Day' - prizes for best dressed. There will be music and beer and other entertainment on supply all day, and sensational UK band, The Light Years, will be performing live in the beer tent to late...there will be plenty of showers and changing facilities at the club, so no need to go anywhere else after your final game, other than enjoying the entertainment on offer at the club!
There will be a 'players village' at Hamilton's, which will offer ample shade and place to relax between games, and a secure place to leave bags etc during your games.
SUNDAY:
Sun - First games kick off at 8.00am, and once again there will be all day entertainment on offer, and the beer tent will be open until approx 9pm.
So there you have it, all the information you need to know about this weekend's Cape Town Tens tournament.
It is going to be a serious vibe with plenty of things on offer, so tell all your friends and girlfriends to come down and support the Cobras.

Aloha
Wow that's a clever way to begin. A slight change from your everyday 'Howzit' or 'Hi'. It's the kind of change up you need in your everday routine. Something that just sort of like makes you a little more intrigued in what that person has to say. Alternatively you could ignore one completely, based on the assumption that any person who uses the word 'Aloha' as a greeting is not worth talking to. Good start.
So last time I was ranting on about books, spies and Ian Armstrong. Much of the same today I'm afraid. It's just that I'm still tied up in exams and I just need to vent some of my frustration and anxt. Good word. Currently I sit at my father's desk consuming slide after slide of Supply Chain Management. Very, very interesting stuff. So interesting, in fact, that after 49 slides I can only tell you that JIT stands for Just In Time. An inventory method created to increase efficiency and so forth. Created by the Japs. Highly efficient mob that. Where was I? At the desk of course. Last time I vowed to address the question of what Waz B gets up to during the day. The answer is; a helluva lot actually.
I was about to try to give you a run down of Warren's day, with times and stuff, but I got to 12:30 and it just became a bit much for me. I was trying to be funny and realistic and clever. Just wasn't working out for me.
Holidays also throw a massive spanner in the works for our players. Winning rugby is highly correlated with high fitness levels. As we all know so well, three months holiday is generally not spent doing pyramids or undertaking various other fitness regimes. Indeed holidays are a time to kick back and get drunk. With this in mind I've put together a list of candidates that are most likely to put on weight, lose speed and generally become more sloth like over the holidays.
A host of the Cobras, senior memebrs I might add, will be attending Plett Rage. For many this will be there third or fourth go. While it will most def be rather debaucherous there will be many games of touchies, irie sonke sonke and the odd table tennis game. This group will most likely be going to Clanwilliam as well. It's so hot there they'll sweat out the booz and go on jogs and shit.
Overall rating: 7/10 (Ten being no fitness lost).
(Waz/ Raubs/ Hawski/ Dil/ Starv/ Gimli/ Oli)
Another intrepid group (Macdonald, Kelly and Rogers) are venturing to Thailand for two months. Diseases, drugs, motorbike accidents and lady boys being the main attractions. These chaps may return in body bags.
Rating: 2/10
Morris, Butler and a few others may be spending new years in Transkei. Their rating, due to respiratory problems, drops to 4/10.
Cockburn is no doubt spending a few weeks on the sunny slopes in Eurpoe. R100 beers will most likely ensure early starts and hard carving. However, old Cockburn is prone to the odd eintjie and will most likely over pack on the Piet Blou cartons.
Rating: 8/10.
Ian Armstrong. Malawi, Swaziland, Croatia, Zimbabwe, Serbia or Shelly Point. This ou has got serious miles under his belt. He will be spending the majority of the vac with his significant other. As such we can't bet on seeing too much of Swali. Quite a pity. Army's rating would stay at 10 but I'm positive that many, many, many hours will be spent in front of the PS2 with Paul in a vegetable like state.

Kyle, Kyle Rennie! will be celebrating his 21st birthday this vac in his home town. Oh, where does he live? KOKSTAD. Yes, chaps it's true. Many of you, I'm sure,had no idea that a KOKSTADIAN was living among us. Good town. He's told me to extend the invites to any of you who may be travelling in the area. More cigs, more booz, fewer women, this man reveives a rating of 5/10.

Comestai Bitches.
I know, I know, I know... It's just that I'm so busy these days, what with trying to get the odd soccer game in between studying and watching TV. Apologies to the three of you who are remotely interested in what I have to say. I've been pottering around the house, having just finished my third exam in two days (Got another one tomorrow just so you know, and I thought to myself; Hell's teeth Bug you haven't been very productive on the site of late. So here I am. And this is what I have to say. I enjoy saying shit for no reason other than to say it, is that a reason? Wow that's lame.
I thought I'd give you a brief run down of what's been happening in my life and and the lives of those closest to me. My exam schedule has bee rather tough, but I'm taking it all in my stride. I often like to kick back on my chariot styled bed and read a book just to regain composure between ECO's text books. I'm currently reading a book called "Liberation Day" by some ex SAS type. It's sort of espionage styled banter. It's pretty serious stuff, those blokes love to abbreviate shit. For instance the word intelligence is abbreviated to int. I mean, come on mate, how lazy are you? It's actually a crock of shit cos it predicts the end of days due to terrorism and it's very sort American patriot type vibe. You know, stars and stripes effort. Anyway.
Big news in the world of the Cobras is that we've got the whole tour across the country thing coming up in February. As cool as this is, it poses more problems than it's worth for many of the Cobras. Take for instance Swali Philanderer aka Ian Armstrong. What the hell is he going to do when we have to leave on a Friday? Everyone knows that it's pizza nights at his Chick's house(Say in a tapped Belville accent). Does he order the pizza early? Does he miss the pizza? Does he get a later flight? Does he leave at all?
Jolly Oli may also have a huge problem in this regard. Does he spend the whole of thursday night debiting and crediting? Does he debit and credit on the plane? Does he only play one half so as to debit and credit on the bench? Does he just stay at home and debit and credit? And by association we may have a slight problem getting hold of DEAN S and GRAEME S due to the fact that they all keep score on hours worked. So if Oli's debiting and crediting....
As for an individual like the alcoholic.. Shit I think the biggest probelm for Blake is that he may leave and just not come back. I would wager at least a hundred bucks that Blake Gowar will miss at least one return flight from either PE or Bloem.
Dillon Mcevoy will have no problem with this free flight situation. Hell, the ou is a bonifide veteran in this regard. Screw domestic flights, this man flies to London, LA and New York for free. All it takes is a quiet remorseful phone call, fuck it sms, to a certain X and he's secure. He'll even secure business class while he's at it. Bloody impressive if you ask me.
Moving on in a random manner. Phil "The Drill Sergeant" Rogers also may not be making a couple of games in Feb and March. He'll be balls deep in thai lady boys, covered in tats and mentally unstable due to the opium addiction he may acquire. And by 'may' I mean will definitely, without out doubt.
So that's a little, quiet insight into the inner workings of some of our favourite Cobras. My next splurge will raise the very pertinient question of what Warren Butler actually does. Besides: THROWING A VIBE BRU!

The Players Player!
It was only appropriate that Blake "call it what you wanna call it" Gowar recieved the much sought after Players Player of the year at the 2008 Cobras Formal and also quite understandably recieved the boozer of the year.
As the evening moved on, so did the CHAMPIONS and their gorgeous looking dates, might I add that there were only 3 brunette's present at the formal, not bad going lads. The bar started being abused and plates started to be broken as the formal kicked off in style with awards and a couple of speeches. By this stage the ladies couldn't take the way the Champions were celebrating and decided to join in, letting lose on all corners of the dance floor with many a Cobras coming right with their fine young ladies...notably to Nessi who spent most of the evening whispering sweet nothings into his dates ear, well played.
Other awards on the night went to:

Back of the Year: Warren "Oupa" Kelly
Forward of the Year: Kyle Rennie
Newcomer of the Year: Matthew Kelly
Most Valuable Player: Warren Kelly

What an evening it was with an awesome cocktail party hosted by the man himself, which started the evening off in a sophisticated manner. There were the new Cobras Trucker Caps on display and a Champions Jersey which got signed by all who are apart of the Cobras. This signed jersey will be framed and placed in the Cobras Box (blakes) at Newlands Rugby Stadium along with a trucker cap and the Players Player trophey.

Turner on debut...
New signing Mat Turner shone on his full Bristol debut at Northampton Saints on Saturday afternoon with Bristol producing some sparkling rugby until a series of yellow cards destroyed their momentum and handed the home team a crucial initiative on their way to victory.
It had been a rough few minutes for Bristol and Turner produced a superb try saving tackle to rescue his side as Northampton went for the jugular
Turner continued to impress with a scintillating break from deep which ended with an unfortunate knock on and Iain Grieve led the way in defence with one punishing hit standing out in particular.
There were some fine individual performances but the final word has to be for winger Turner who only trained with the team twice before this match and produced a debut of real promise.

Lads, I (Mr Goodman) finnally got my wits about me just long enough to amble over to the 'Quick Film' photo shop situated in Constania Village, the thinking mans shopping mall, and bought myself a converter thing vibe, that basically lets my little computer read my little SD Card. And so at long last I am able to proudly present to you some rather classic pics of our past GLORIOUS season of 2008...
Most of the photis where taken at our debauched change room fines meet following our initial Nadoes victory. Let me just take this oppurtunity to remind that we beat the Nadoes... Twice. We are the fucking champions. The fucking Purple Cobras. The mighty mighty Cobras. The Brave Cobras. The Champions. The Winners of UCT internal league rugby 2008.

It's celebration time...
The time is upon us when we all get together for the last official time this year to celebrate what has been our best season to date, after all we are the 2008 UCT Internal League Champions and will be competing in the Varsity Cup next year, which is something to look forward to.
The Formal is tomorrow night (Friday) and there are a couple of tickets left, so if you haven't got your hands on one yet, get hold of one urgently, as this is an event not to be missed.
Brendan Raubenheimer taking one on the head last year, expect more of this.

Give it a read..
The other day I was in the pub having a few quiet beers by myself.
The door opened and in walked the most stunning woman I've ever laid eyes on. 5'9'' tall, stunning blue eyes, silky blonde hair, an hourglass figure barely covered by a tiny mini skirt and a flimsy cotton top. I could see she was not wearing a bra and her incredibly firm breasts were on show.After watching her walk in I turned back to my beer. No sooner had I taken a sip when I turn to see her pulling another bar stool up close to me and sitting down.
She said ' Hi ', and I said ' Hi' in return. She asked how I was and took my hand and placed it on her perfect inner thigh, rubbing it up and down.
'So, does that make you feel good ?' she asked. .'I'll bet you feel good,' she continued.'In fact, I'll bet you've never felt this good before.
''Well, I have,' I correct ed her. 'You see, when I was 18, I was picked to play for the school 1st. XV in the Public School Finals in front of a crowd of about 3000 and I felt really good.
'I immediately felt a bit pathetic saying that and I thought she would get up and go but she took my hand off her thigh and put it up the front of her top. Her nipple pushed into my palm as she massaged my hand into her pert, perfect breast.'How do you feel now,' she purred.' OK' I replied.Again, she said, 'I'll bet you do. In fact, I'll bet you've never felt THIS good before!
'Unbelievably I heard myself saying 'Well, actually I have. In that game, we were down by six points with about 20 seconds left in the match. The Opposition kicked the ball deep into our half of the field, where I caught it. I ran up field, side-stepping past the first few defenders, palmed off a couple of would-be tacklers, burst through a few forwards, chipped over their fullback, regathered and scored a Try right under the posts with about 2 or 3 seconds 'till full time. We were still behind by one point, but I had a simple kick at goal with which to win the match and........
'' Ahhh....' she growelled between clenched teeth, more than a bit miffed, pulled my hand from under her top and thrust it down the front of her skirt. My fingers immediately met what felt like a wisp of soft cotton , and she was wet !!!!She snapped,
'Well tell me this, Smart Ass : Have you ever felt such a c_nt?''I certainly have'
I answered, 'I missed the kick.'

Weatherman Bug
Every where you go....
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, firends and foes, Army and Cherie.... This I am sad to say is the last weather report for the season 2008. But never fear there is always next year. Firstly let me apologise for my lack of weather reports lately, although with so many gaps between games it's hard to be consistent. Secondly, and more importantly, I write this weather report before a game of epic proportions. Yes, it is indeed the final of the Internal League. Not the plate, bowl or spoon final, but the CUP final. Probably the highest sporting achievement available at UCT. Francois Pienaar was heard commenting that the UCT internal league boasts some of the richest talent in -South Africa. I don't know about the Internal League as a whole, but I definitely know that the Cobras fit this description.
As for the weather: The official weather report normally supplied by the Cape Argus has been completely ignored today. Today I go on gut intstinct. The same gut instinct that predicts the Cobras to win by Twenty in the Final. The same gut instinct that believes that man for man, Cobras are better than the Nadoes. The same gut instinct that knows the Cobras simply want it more.
So my forecast, for those of you who actually care, is one of blue skies but without the heat of a hot day when Clifton's pumping (Shot Gorns). The grass under foot will be moist like that of the ladies under garments when the Cobras hit the town later. And by moist I mean pretty fuckin swet. Lovely. It seems the wind will not be playing much of a factor today and the fact that we're not playing under lights should help on the dew side of things.
As for our interview today I have none other than Captian my Captain Warren 'What's the ou up to there tonight man?' Butler. In very unusual fashion I will in fact actually consult the man himself in this interview. So every thing you hear and feel is in fact real.
This brings me to my next point. This morning there was a giant fucking BABOON on my roof. Ripley's Believe it or Not stuff here. Like the twighlight zone. I don't know what to take from this rude awakening. Is it an omen? I'm not sure. All I do know is that I watched this thing walk, casually, to the bottom of the garden and hop over the fence. Like your common variety criminal. Where was he going? I don't know for sure but he looked like he was heading in the direction of the green mile. perhaps he'd heard of the showdown while chilling in Kirstenbosch listening in on some walkers' consverstaion. Perhaps an eagle told him. Perhaps he is just a baboon in search of refuge. Perhaps.
So now to the interview. As promised Warren Butler will be joining me this afternoon and I can promise you the banter will be of top quality, nothing like that new show Luv Sport which our friend Seth Rotheram on 2oceansvibe so vehemently supports.
So let's get to it:

WAZ: Ag no well hey. Few butterflies in the stomach, but other than that I'm rearing to go.

W: Ya always excited to pull the purple and white over the shoulders, espescially on an occasion such as this.
B: Hell, me too.

W: Ikhaya by six over the young Kopano side in the CAN final. Whatever that means.
B: Ah, the much anticipated CAN final. Alot of controversy surrounding that game but we''ll steer clear of such things today.
B: How are the preparations for the formal going?
W: Going along swimmingly and the hats have just been sent in for printing so by Saturday the boys can chill on Clifton while still representing the family.
B: Sweet. What colours are available?
W: We've tried to cater for everyone's needs but we'll just have to see.
W: You'll have to excuse me now I need to go chunder...
B: Sweet. Save some for later.
W: Why?
B: Because the Cobras team has just arrived.... A ha ha ha ha. A ha ha ha ha.
B: Any final words?
W: Let's fuckin bring it home... I've been waiting three years for this.

One step closer...
The Cobras eased past The Spanners in the Cup Semi Final last night up on the Green Mile to meet the Nadoes in a repeat of last years final. The Cobras ran away with a 14-0 victory which see's them take one step closer to cup glory...match report to follow.

On wednesday night following our game and fines meet, there is a guest list organised at The Bang Bang Club, this is only open to Cobras RFC players. It will no doubt be a jol, and a perfect way to cap off Wednesday night's events. The more Cobras the better the vibe, as we are the vibe.
